Charity at Ascham has five pillars that are supported through various fundraising events throughout the school year. These pillars are: Social, Local, First Nations People, Environment and International. The charities that we support and raise funds for under these pillars are: The Bush Heritage, Lou’s Place, Ascham Forest, The COVA Project, Plunkett Street School, Cure Brain Cancer, WEAVE Youth and Community Services and The Katrina Dawson Foundation. In addition to these charities the Senior School participate in regular community events that raise funds for the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal, Jeans for Genes, McGrath Foundation and the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day.

It is second nature for Ascham students to embrace the chance to make a difference in the world, both individually and collectively. Ascham Charity Committee strive to not only to support their charities but also to motivate each and every Ascham girl that a little giving of oneself can make a huge difference in the life of another.

Ascham Charity Committee acknowledges that we are on the land of the Gadigal and Birrabirragal people, the traditional custodians of the land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
