Boarding routines vary depending on the Year group.
While Junior boarders are still adjusting to the Boarding routine, Senior boarders are offered more flexibility in their daily routine.

Parents must complete an Annual Permissions Form to allow their daughter to sign herself out on Minor Leave without approval by a Parent/Host.
Leave must be submitted via Orah.
Weekend and overnight Leave must be confirmed by parents no later than Thursday night.
In-Weekends run from Friday evening to Sunday evening inclusive. They give Boarders an opportunity to enjoy planned activities together and foster a positive Boarding Community spirit.
Boarders cannot take Leave when their year group is scheduled for an In-Weekend unless written permission is given by the Head of Boarding.

Friday 31 Jan – Sunday 2 Feb (Years 7-12)
Term 2
Friday 15 May – Sunday 17 May (Years 7-12)
Term 3
Friday 25 Jul – Sunday 27 Jul (Years 7-12)
Term 4
Friday 17 Oct – Sunday 19 Oct (Years 7-11)
Public transport is located near the School and Opal cards are required for use on public transport.
Boarders cannot use a car while residing at Ascham. Year 12 Boarders may only travel in a car with a P-plate driver is permission has been granted through the Annual Permission form or with written consent from parents.
Boarders in Years 9 to 12 can travel in a taxi, however Boarders in Years 7 and 8 will require a staff chaperone in taxis.
Uber prohibits passengers under the age of 18 without an adult. Boarders therefore cannot travel in Ubers, but can book private transfers through Shebah or Kabs4Kids.
Transport to the airport or medical appointments can be booked through the Boarding Administrator or the Health Centre and charged to the Boarder’s School account.
