Year 11 and 12 Students
Venue – Sydney Grammar School
Date and Time – Monday 11 September, 3.30pm arrival for a 4pm start. 5.30pm close.
Sydney Grammar School will host the Gender Equality Student Conference. This event will be an opportunity for students across Sydney to socialise and discuss ideas drawn from the gender equality and respectful relationships conversation.
The guest speaker is Dee Madigan, award-winning creative director, owner and Executive Creative Director of Campaign Edge, a creative advertising agency based in various locations across Australia.
Mrs Madigan will be interviewed by Dr Joy Townsend, CEO and founder of Learning Consent, on her experiences and challenges faced regarding gender inequality in her field of work.
Students will then be invited into discussion groups led by University Mentors to discuss the conversation between Joy and Dee and how they might learn from it and apply the lessons learned into their roles as student leaders.
There will be five students from ten schools across Sydney participating in this event. Please email me if you would like to represent Ascham at this event.
