The Boarding Community at Ascham is represented by committee members from different levels.
Parents are represented by the Boarder Parent Committee, who are elected by boarder parents. The Boarder Parent Committee meet each term with the Head of School and Head of Boarding to discuss feedback they have received.

Boarders are represented by the Year 12 Boarders’ Committee as well as the Student Representative Council (SRC). The SRC regularly provide feedback from their respective year groups to the Year 12 Boarders’ Committee. The Year 12 Boarders’ Committee meet weekly with the Head of Boarding to discuss feedback they have received.

The Boarding Community at Ascham is built on a strong foundation of respect and acceptance. Boarders are provided with an environment to develop sound academic habits, as well as a range of activities that promote personal, social and cultural growth.
Ascham uses Orah, a platform that manages Leave requests and Boarder movements throughout the year. Parents or Hosts are required to approve Leave that Boarders submit via Orah to ensure the girls’ safety while off campus.
Parents are required to submit an Annual Permission Form each year to approve their daughter’s Leave for exercise, to visit local shops, or for group weekend activities organised by boarding staff. Parents are also required to submit a Medication Permission Form so that their daughters can be given over-the-counter medication by Ascham staff. Boarders are not permitted to keep any medication in their dorms.
