Basic Uniform Requirements
• White or beige jodhpurs
• White Ascham School shirt
• Ascham navy tie
• Ascham navy v-neck jumper
• Back number holder (every rider is allocated a number and this must be worn at all times). Number holders can be brought from Horseland or Saddlery
• Medical Arm Band holder (available from Horseland)
• Smooth soled riding boots
One Day Event Specifics
• Long boots
• Leather gaiters may be worn (no suede chapettes)
• Competitors must wear a body protector for the cross country phase (EA rules)
Expo Pentathlon Specifics
• For cross country run, mountain bike and javelin events girls to wear Ascham navy short sleeve training top or short sleeve sports top (hockey) and Ascham sports shorts or Ascham lycra running shorts.
Polocrosse Specifics
• Either mouth guard and helmet or polocrosse helmet with face guard
Horse
• Red saddle cloth
• Ascham browband (not essential)
• Horses should be plaited for all dressage classes (ODE, CT, Dressage) and hacking classes, plaiting optional for showjumping day
• Please note that stock saddles cannot be used for One Day events.
• For those entering into Combined Training or Polocrosse, red bandage should be used.
Helmets
All helmets must comply with current safety standard, please check the event website for compliance. Helmets must be tagged. Please view further information here.
Medical Armbands
Medical armbands are mandatory for most events and compulsory for the North West Equestrian Expo. Prior purchase is advisable.
Ascham Saddle Cloths and Brow Bands
Saddle Cloths
All students must compete with an Ascham saddle cloth. These are $70.
Brow Bands
Ascham brow bands are available if required at a cost of $55.

The Equestrian Captain’s parents often liaise with families about the events. This is essential for the North West Equestrian Expo (Coona). If you would like your contact information to be sent to the Equestrian Captain’s parents, there will be an option to do so on the registration form.

General Information
This is the main event that Ascham Senior School enters as a team, which draws the biggest number of riders. Students are all together in one camp and operate as a team with three meals a day, a bonfire and horses stabled together for the duration of the event.
Coona offers something for riders of all abilities with dressage, eventing, combined training, polocrosse, sporting, team penning, hacking, stock horse classes, horseball and pentathlon.

General Information
The ENSW State Interschool Championships are held at SIEC each year. If you are aiming to qualify to for the NSW State Interschool team, this event will already be on your radar. This event is open to all riders as long as you possess proof of riding at the level of the discipline you wish to enter.
Disciplines include eventing, vaulting, combined training, show horse, dressage and show jumping.

Entry Requirements
Riders will need to provide evidence of at least one result at a previous competition (EA affiliated club, show or Interschool) as a horse/rider combination in the qualifying period 1 March 2024 – 13 March 2025. Incomplete or incorrect qualifications may mean an entry is not accepted.

Parents are required to complete the entries via the SIEC nomination site.

If you haven’t used Nominate before you will need to register first. Please follow the below instructions.

The ISHE event is available to all riders. The disciplines are eventing, dressage, combined training, show horse, sporting, show jumping, woof and hoof and camp drafting.

Transport, Travel and Accommodation
Parents are required to transport and supervise their daughters to, during and from the event.
Camping is available on-site or families can book into one of the many motels in Tamworth.
